New Blake Shelton Song

Blake Shelton has released a brand new song, “I’ll Name the Dogs.”

On his website, Blake describes the song as a throw-back. “It’s traditional country with fiddle and steel and I’ve got Jimmy Olander from Diamond Rio playing the guitar solo,” Blake said. “It brings the sound back a little more traditional for a minute, which I felt like needed to happen musically for me.”

“As a resident of Tishomingo, I’m very sorry that the Pink Pistol has decided to move its operations out of the area,” Blake said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “We all, as a community, appreciate everything it has done for our town. As for the actual properties left behind . . . I was offered the opportunity to buy them, and I have a plan brewing.”

“It feels full circle to have everything under one ‘roof’ basically where it all began in my hometown of Lindale,” Miranda said in a statement. “I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the employees who worked hard to help me bring the store in Tishomingo to life, as well as the patrons who came to experience the Pink Pistol and supported the store. Sometimes you need to close a chapter to build on a new beginning or go back home.”

Blake Tops the Charts

Blake Shelton has scored another No. 1 — his 20th — with “Gonna. It arrives at #1 after a 21-week climb.

And Chris Stapleton’s Traveller has snapped back to the top of Billboard’s country albums rankings.

Two albums make their first chart appearance — Jessie James Decker’s EP, This Christmas, bows at No. 16, and the soundtrack collection, Nashville: The Music of Nashville, Season 4, Volume 1, enters one notch below at No. 17.

Joey + Rory’s Country Classics: A Tapestry of Our Musical Heritage returns to the chart at No. 43, possibly propelled there by the wife-and-husband’s nomination for a best country duo or group performance Grammy for “If I Needed You,” a cut from the album.

Also re-entering is Shelton’s Bringing Back the Sunshine at No. 48.

And there are two new songs, as well — Chris Lane’s “Fix” (arriving at No. 50) and Drake White’s “Livin’ the Dream” (No. 57).

Toby Keith’s “Beautiful Stranger” returns at No. 59.

Directly following Shelton’s “Gonna” within the Top 5 songs group are Jason Aldean’s “Gonna Know We Were Here,” Thomas Rhett’s “Die a Happy Man,” Cam’s “Burning House” and Tim McGraw’s “Top of the World,” in that order.

Last week’s No. 1 song, Dan + Shay’s “Nothin’ Like You,” slips to No. 9.

Completing the Top 5 albums array are Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller last week’s No. 1), Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights, Eric Church’s Mr. Misunderstood and Shelton’s Reloaded:20 #1 Hits.
