Miss Green Bay Area Competition Information and Candidates Announced!

The annual Miss Green Bay Area and Outstanding Teen Scholarship Competition (presented by R.E. Management, Inc.) will add two new titleholders to Titletown on Saturday, January 19, at Bay Port High School, Suamico. The show features seven competitors.

This year the following will vie for the Miss Green Bay Area title (Name, Hometown, Talent, Platform): Kylie Thompson of Beloit, St. Norbert College, Musical Theatre Vocal “They Just Keep Movin’ the Line” from SMASH, #EndTheStigma – Putting an End to Eating Disorder Stereotypes; Shania Gorton of Green Bay, UW-Platteville, Latin Fusion Dance – “Don’t Stop Believin”, Be the Bridge: Creatively Overcoming the Nightmare of Human Trafficking; Sarah Jensen of Random Lake, St. Norbert College, Classical Vocal “La Zingara”, Meaningful Connections Through Service; Kaylee Vermeern of Appleton, UW-Green Bay, Lyrical Dance “Silence”, Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation.

Those vying for the title of Miss Green Bay Area’s Outstanding Teen title (Name, Hometown, Talent, Platform): Eve Vanden Heuvel of Freedom, Piano “Swingin’ the Blues” by Melody Bober, Thank You From the Heart – Thanking our Veterans;
Elizabeth Black of Little Chute, Vocal “Taylor the Latte Boy”, Girls on the Run;
Brooklyn Heyn of Appleton, Violin Solo excerpt of “Czardas” by Vittorio Monti, Autism Awareness.

The show will also feature a Princess Program, which is a mentorship program for girls ages 5-12.

Candidates ages 13-25 that meet criteria are eligible by full time residency, school attendance, or employment in Brown County or any county directly adjacent, including: Calumet, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Oconto, Outagamie, and Shawano. Miss Green Bay Area 2018 and Miss Green Bay Area’s Outstanding Teen 2018 are sisters, Katrina & Anika Mazier of Appleton, who will be featured in the production. Katrina was named a Preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit Winner at The Miss Wisconsin Competition held this past June. Anika placed Third Runner Up to Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen 2018.

The show is open to the public on Saturday, January 19, at 4 p.m. at Bay Port High School. Purchase tickets and vote for the People’s Choice winner in advance on the MGBA website: Tickets and People’s Choice voting will also be available at the door.

Scholarship and prizes will be awarded to participants. The new titleholders will advance to the Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen Competitions this June in Oshkosh.
