It’s time for the 27th Annual Two Rivers Ethnic Fest on Saturday, September 15th! Come for the music and dance, enjoy the food and shop the many vendors selling items from every continent. Join in the celebration beginning with the parade of flags down Washington Street to the Central Park Bandstand. Stay all day breathing the refreshing sights and sounds. Native Pride Dance is at 10 am, Frog-Water Irish Music starts at 11:30 am, MACCO Chinese Music & Dance is at 12:45 pm, Potts & Pans Steel Drum Band is at 2:15 pm, Doc Smith & the Disciples Gospel is at 3:45 pm. On the smaller stage, Czech Polka is at 10:30 am, a tae kwon do demo is at 1 pm, and Brazilian Jazz is at 2 pm.
The annual fall fry out being held at the Whitelaw fire station, 330 East Menasha Avenue (Hwy10) from 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday, September 16th. Serving hamburgers, brats, fireman’s ribeye steak sandwiches and refreshments. Serving chicken booyah from 10 am until gone. Live music by Bobby Darren from 1 – 6 pm. They will be holding a silent auction and 50/50 cash raffles throughout the day.
There will be an exciting dedication of the Spirit of the Rivers monument on Sunday, September 16 from 2pm to 3pm. The monument will be located along the Mariners Trail across from Aurora Medical Center. Monument created by Manitowoc’s own sculptor, R.T. “Skip” Wallen.
Natural Resource Partnership’s annual barn dance at Saxon Homestead Farms in Cleveland will be Saturday, September 15th from 5:30 to 10:30 pm. Enjoy a locally grown, sourced, and prepared meal with award winning cheeses. – Taste local beer, festive wine. and local coffee. – Explore the Klessig farm and engage in conversation with old friends and new. – Dance the night away to top-notch country music by Reckless Remedy.
