Never mind the two all-beef patties, special sauce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun. McDonald’s is changing with the times.
The fast food chain is testing a new vegan burger called the McVegan, according to Food and Wine.
The new item is actually a soy-based patty in a bun with lettuce, onions, ketchup, and mustard. It’s currently available to buy in Finland until November 21. If it proves to be a popular item, the burger could be introduced to more markets, including the U.S.
The news was announced by McDonald’s Suomi, the brand’s Finnish Instagram page. Early reviews appear to be positive.
