He was not stealthy, just practicing getting in and out of buildings like a ninja.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Christopher Zahyeer Atkins, 25, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, was arrested early Monday morning for allegedly breaking into a Target in Dunwoody, Georgia.
In a post on their Facebook page, the Dunwoody Police Department wrote, “The alarm company observed a suspect on camera making forced entry into the business. Officers quickly arrived on scene and checked the area. One of our officers observed a suspect walking away from the business matching the suspect description seen on camera.”
Police say Atkins admitted that he broke into the store, saying, “he was reading the book Naruto, Volume 5,” which was teaching him “how to be a ninja and how to enter secured areas,”
“Naruto” is a Japanese comic that follows a young ninja.
Police said he didn’t take anything.
Atkins was booked into the DeKalb County jail on a first-degree burglary charge.
So far, he has not escaped.
