After Miranda Lambert announced that she was closing down the Pink Pistol boutique in Tishomingo, Okla., where she and Blake Shelton resided while the two were married, she went and sold the building to her ex-husband.
Blake confirmed the sale of the property, via twitter, in a response to a question asked by a fan.
“As a resident of Tishomingo, I’m very sorry that the Pink Pistol has decided to move its operations out of the area,” Blake said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight. “We all, as a community, appreciate everything it has done for our town. As for the actual properties left behind . . . I was offered the opportunity to buy them, and I have a plan brewing.”
“It feels full circle to have everything under one ‘roof’ basically where it all began in my hometown of Lindale,” Miranda said in a statement. “I want to send a heartfelt thank you to all the employees who worked hard to help me bring the store in Tishomingo to life, as well as the patrons who came to experience the Pink Pistol and supported the store. Sometimes you need to close a chapter to build on a new beginning or go back home.”
No word on what Blake’s plans are for the property yet.
